Ivory Coast international Didier Drogba is regarded as one of the best strikers to have played for Chelsea, while he is also thought of as one of the finest African players to have graced the Premier league. He is the first African to have scored more than 100 goals in the Premier league. He is also the highest scorer for the club in the Champions league as well. Drogba is currently with Galatasaray after leaving Shanghai Shenhua after just six months. The striker has not been a Chelsea player since 2012, but he has said he will always remain as a Chelsea fan.
The striker was recently seen playing at the Emirates stadium, which is one of his favourite stomping grounds as it involved playing against Arsenal. Drogba scored 14 goals during his time at Chelsea against Arsenal alone, which is the highest he has against an individual club. He helped Galatasaray get a 1-0 win over Porto that will see them through into the final of the Emirates cup. Galatasaray will be facing Arsenal in the final of the competition and Drogba is once again a favourite to score in this encounter. He expects Chelsea to win the title despite a long and hard season last time around.
“Everyone knows what I think about him, especially as he is now back at Chelsea. It is a big challenge for him but he has some amazing players and they can win the title. Chelsea beat Manchester United last season and had a long season, but this season is going to be different and I think they will do well,” the striker, who knows all about winning league titles with Chelsea. During his time at the club, he won three Premier league titles and one Champions league title amongst a whole host of other trophies.
